August 2026 Product Update: Field App Visit Review, Smarter Shipment Planning, and Faster Dashboards

August was a big month for visibility. Merchandising managers now have a complete back-office view of what happened in the field, shipment planners can reschedule an entire route in a couple of clicks, and several screens that used to slow down under load now return results quickly. We also continued the steady work of making GrowerLive feel like your software — from sidebar layouts you control to product photos on the screens where they matter most.

Merchandising

The Field App and its back-office counterpart got the most attention this month. Managers can now review field activity end to end without asking a rep for a screenshot.

This is the problem our merchandising partners told us mattered most. One merchandising manager previously had to hunt through separate texts, emails, and messages to piece together what happened on a single visit. All of that now lives in one place. The time savings have been significant, and the added organization and clear communication have been just as valuable as the hours saved.

  • New manager Visit Review screens give supervisors a complete picture of each field visit, including a Visit Summary view for management reporting.
  • Visit Review now shows every stop on a route, not just the ones a rep has already arrived at, so you can see planned work alongside completed work.
  • Photos taken in the field now open in a lightbox right on the Visit Review detail page instead of launching a new browser tab.
  • Checklist tasks are available directly from the Visit Review popup, keeping the sidebar clean while preserving quick access.
  • Every step of a visit now records its own completion timestamp, so you can see exactly when work happened rather than inferring it.
  • Field credits now capture who entered them and when, adding accountability to in-field adjustments.
  • Deactivating a checklist question no longer erases answers that were already recorded — historical visits stay intact.
  • Field App stocking now shows the previously saved quantity as the default, cutting down on re-entry for reps.
  • Photo uploads from the field are now size-bounded to keep uploads fast and reliable on cellular connections.
  • Visit Review data is now scoped to the correct company locations, so each manager sees exactly the operations they're authorized for.
  • A range of Visit Review usability fixes, including a date picker that opens as expected and protection for stops that are already marked complete.

Shipment Planning

Plans change. Two new tools make it far easier to respond when they do.

  • Move Stop lets you change the delivery date and/or location for an individual stop without rebuilding the route.
  • Move Route applies the same change at the route level, rescheduling every stop at once.
  • The Shipment Planning page has been redesigned for a cleaner, faster planning workflow.
  • Print BOLs now correctly filters to primary locations, with a tighter, more predictable flow.

Order Flow

Order configuration screens are now more honest and more usable.

  • The Order Status configuration screen has been reworked, is now reachable from navigation, and includes a working Save changes button.
  • The Order Statuses grid now clearly reports when a save fails instead of quietly doing nothing.
  • The Order Entry side panel no longer renders when every section is turned off for your organization, removing empty space from the screen.

Inventory

  • Scan Inventory is now genuinely usable on a phone, with a repaired product picker for fast, accurate scanning on the floor.
  • Product photos can now appear on Receiving and Scan Inventory — available as a client preference — and sit beside the Scan Inventory form on desktop for easy visual confirmation.
  • The zone inventory container summary now appears only for operations using container tracking.
  • Packing metrics load reliably and are gated to organizations using rack packing.

Entity Management

  • Pricing screens now show the SKU and product name by default, so you know what you're pricing at a glance.
  • Default pricing rules are now applied more precisely: a rule is only matched to the SKU that owns it, retained when an active SKU still shares the number, and removed when a SKU is no longer usable.
  • SKU saves now clearly report what was saved.
  • The user-defined field entity dropdown no longer hangs, and its labels read correctly.
  • The Custom Fields section has been unified and can be opened again.
  • Show Inactive is now a single, consistent system-wide setting rather than a per-screen behavior.
  • Treeview screens now include breadcrumbs by default based on screen size, with consistent add-button behavior between the breadcrumb and the treeview, and a detail panel that no longer wraps underneath the tree.

Reporting

  • EDI sales dashboards that previously timed out now load quickly thanks to significantly improved back-end aggregation.
  • Report viewer upgrades no longer break existing reports for users with cached browser files.
  • Report preview cards now follow your selected theme, and report designer issues have been resolved.
  • API transaction screens now show real filter options, and grouping works as expected.
  • Generated reporting queries now run against a read-only connection, protecting production data.

Centralized API

  • Machine-to-machine API calls are no longer redirected to the Welcome page, making integrations more dependable.
  • Faster lookups on API transaction history for quicker troubleshooting.

Platform and Experience

  • Each client can now arrange its own sidebar, and screens follow that configuration automatically — including the ability to hide or remove screens per organization.
  • The sidebar now extends cleanly to the bottom of the window and keeps its layout when groups are reordered.
  • Additional screens have been fully themed, the global search underline is now visible in dark mode, and loading spinners are clearly visible while data loads.
  • Strengthened access controls and cross-user isolation safeguards across the newer field and route screens.
  • Restored and optimized several production database indexes affected by an earlier data migration, improving overall responsiveness.

Community & Events

We also spent time at the Landscape show this year and met a lot of great people across the industry. We didn't have a booth this time around, but the conversations were good enough that we're planning to become a member and bring a booth next year. If you were there and we crossed paths, thanks for the time — and if we missed you, we'd love to connect before the next one.

Looking Ahead

Next month we'll keep building on the Visit Review foundation with deeper merchandising reporting, continue expanding the rescheduling tools in Shipment Planning, and roll out more per-client layout controls. As always, if there's something your team needs, tell us — the best items on our roadmap start as a conversation with a grower.
